A bitterly cold easterly wind with flurries of snow, for Mothers day on Islay. A few good birds- a pair of
Goosanders on the Grey river at Erasaid, was birds of the day for me. Also on the Gruinart Flats, 200
Golden Plover and loads of
Lapwing. Some visiting birdwatchers reported a couple of ring tail
Hen Harriers from the hide.
